Carhartt Men's Relaxed Fit Blanket-Lined Detroit Jacket

Is this jacket too heavy for daily work?

It is a "Level 1" warmth jacket, meaning it is designed for those cool fall or early spring mornings where you need significant durability without the bulk of a heavy winter coat. It strikes a balance between rugged protection and ease of movement.

Does it restrict movement when working with tools?

No. It features a pleated bi-swing back, which provides extra stretch across the shoulders so you can reach, lift, and work without the jacket pulling or binding. The droptail hem also provides extra coverage while staying out of the way of your tool belt.
