Not at all. Unlike rigid 100% cotton duck canvas, these are built from 9 oz DuraStretch canvas (99% cotton, 1% spandex). The addition of elastane gives the fabric built-in flex, and the articulated knees allow you to squat, bend, and climb ladders easily without the material pinching or pulling at your waist.
Are these pants too heavy and hot to wear during the peak of summer?
They balance durability and breathability exceptionally well. At 9 ounces, the canvas is lighter and more breathable than traditional 12-ounce or 15-ounce heavy duck pants, allowing for much faster drying and better airflow without sacrificing the tear resistance provided by the double-front panels and triple-needle stitching.
